Welcome to my garden!

This page is a work in progress, so please be patient!

welcome!

Hiya! i'm Luca ♡

i'm a fox therian who likes to take things slow and steady. The modern world values efficiency and profit over all else, and i think that sucks.

i'm all about living a slower and more considerate life by taking the time to care for yourself and world around you

I'll be showcasing my Love Nikki dress-up queen styling here soon~

More experiences with plurality coming soon~ (i'm a slow writer)

Please beware when reading if you are any of the following:

  • Someone who isn't open to hearing about anything that doesn't align with their personal knowledge/beliefs. Every experience with plurality is unique in some way, so please don't claim to know exactly what is real or right
  • Someone who demands concrete proof of every claim. We know ourselves better than you and have nothing to prove to a random stranger (or strangers)
  • Anti-endogenic. I understand that it’s easy to dismiss endogenic plurality as faking for attention, especially when DID fakers online have caused a lot of harm for the community. But it’s pretty cruel to dismiss someone else’s existence and life experience simply because it doesn’t align with your personal beliefs and view of the world, especially if it isn’t causing any real harm.
  • Someone who regularly participates in online arguments/discourse. The internet has a way of stripping people of basic empathy and critical thinking skills
  • Someone who isn't open to learning about new things
‎ ‎
  • There are only two of us in our collective, me and Luci
  • We consider ourselves to be seperate people who happen to share a body
  • We have a sibling-like relationship and consider ourselves to be twins
  • We are co-consious, meaning we are (almost always) aware of what the other is thinking/doing
  • Despite our many differences we get along really well! However we do sometimes hold eachother back from doing things the other really doesn't want to do even if they're good things for both of us (more about that later)
‎ ‎

Due to some pretty bad social experiences in our childhood Luci is pretty cynical and very mistrustful of others. She struggles to open up about things and will often suffer in silence just to avoid asking for help or taking a break.

That’s where i come in. My main role is taking care of our body and mind. That involves recognising when we might need help or a break, etc and taking the time to slow down and do whatever it takes to make us feel better.

This can include breath exercises or finding a quiet place to take a break.

My other primary role is to feel and process emotions. Luci isn’t very good at feeling or processing emotions due to the previously mentioned bad experiences, so it’s kind of my job to deal with all of that stuff myself (which i'm fine with by the way)

I do have a third important role, but the specifics are way to disturbing for either of us to want to discuss in detail, so i’ll keep things vague and brief.

In short, Luci has always been very paranoid about the outside world. This fear became so strong that she wouldn’t leave the house without a knife with her. As you can probably imagine, this soon became an issue.

So, my role is basically to handle the result of any of those fears should they ever come true.

If you’re wondering how i feel about the fact that one of my main reasons for being is to be a living shield for someone else, i’m fine with it because it means that Luci can feel a little safer even when unarmed

Some other stuff i help with:

  • Easing and managing existential dread
  • Helping Luci to not worry about everything too much
  • Managing our social life (more on that later)

(Note: Luci was fine with me writing this section)

Luci is the hard working one of the two of us. Since i prioritise our physical and mental comfort over all else, i can sometimes end up procrastinating or complaining about things a lot.

So she helps to keep me in check and makes sure we complete any tasks that we need to, with her mainly focusing on work and personal admin (such as checking emails and managing our calendar) and pushing me to do my household tasks when i can’t be bothered.

She is also the more rational and analytical of the two of us and is very good at quick and efficient problem solving.

For example, there was one time when i accidentally got some of a sock caught in our washing machine door, causing the water to start leaking out. I can’t truly express with words how panicked i was in that moment.

I spent about 10 minutes crying on the kitchen floor when Luci took over and was able to fix the problem by opening the washing machine door manually, so it could be closed properly.

But because i had pressed a bunch of random buttons in my panic, i had managed to turn the ‘child lock’ setting on accidentally (which temporarily stopped the washing machine from running). I didn’t know what it was at first so i thought i’d broken our washing machine and started crying and panicking again.

But Luci, being smarter than me had the sense to just google what the lock icon on our brand of washing machine meant and was able to fix the issue in less than a minute.

So, it’s probably pretty obvious from that story that i have a bad habit of blowing technical and logistical problems way out of proportion and making things worse for the both of us.

But recently, we’ve been learning to work together even more than usual to try and skip the ‘Luca has a mental breakdown over a small issue’ phase of solving our problems

We usually have seperate dreams, but we also have joint dreams too!

though the weird thing about that is that most of our joint dreams involve being in supermarkets or shops for some reason, neither of us are really sure why but it's pretty funny

Luci and i have pretty different writing styles.

The best example of this used to be on the Magnezone page. Before, Luci was worried that some descriptions were too short or too dry, so she wanted me to add a little bit more to them.

But now she's a little more confident in herself, those descriptions have been rewritten to all her own words. But i'll still be using the old descriptions i helped to write as an example of our different writing styles ^^

Luci's writing style tends to be pretty verbose and clinical with her sense of humour being very dry. For example:

  • An egg cup I painted at an easter event at my university. Funnily enougth, it's too small to actually hold an egg [except for a quail egg or something]
  • It has a magnet on the back [for sticking onto a fridge or something] and magnets on the, well, magnets for holding your keys.
  • A strange item I bought off ebay. It's weirdly miscoloured, having no blue on the magnets and being shaded using the colour brown for some reason. It was pretty cheap though, only £2.99.

She also uses :3 and uses "however," quite a lot in her writing (especially in reports)

My writing style tends to be a bit more "improper" and casual, i also tend to use a lot of exclamation marks for example:

  • A watercolour painting sandwiched between some sturdy fabric and a clear plastic sheet to make a cute little pin! This is definitely one of my favorites that i've made!
  • My first magnemite plush! i made them myself using some scrap fabric i had laying around. The screws are made from plastic plush eyes wrapped in thin silver fabric
  • This is a magnemite-shaped ita bag i made myself! i made it my turning an old laptop bag inside-out (the inside colour happened to be perfect), cutting it down to size and cutting out a hole for the window
‎ ‎

Some of them do! And so far everyone we've told has been accepting even if they don't fully understand what plurality is

‎ ‎

i'll put something interesting here soon~

For now here's a Lurantis ♡
